You've heard us say if before and we'll say it again, it takes a village to innovate. Tim Connors of PivotNorth Capital takes it a step further and understands that it's not just the right people but the right approach.

Tim Connors is a leading early-stage investor and Founder of PivotNorth Capital. He recently joined The Forbes Midas List and will no doubt continue to be ahead of the curve when it comes to making an early bet on winning founders and ideas. He's one of the rare VCs who is truly a builder at heart and wants to be in the trenches with founders as they grow.

In this Bricleir Q&A we'll be discussing what folks get right (and wrong) about innovation. Tim suggests innovation comes down to a simple four-step process that is easily replicated.

  1. Identify an unmet need
  2. Determine three key criteria for launching a seed project: (1) a founder with the idea for a solution (2)  a founder coach who greenlights them (3) seed money
  3. Prove users of the solution are happy and that there are a solid ROI and unit economics (If not, keep working on step 2.  If yes, go to step 4.)
  4. Growth funding for scale

We'll discuss how a purposeful approach between the enterprise, startup, and venture community is key to providing higher quality outcomes using this approach. If you find yourself in one of these categories, you'll want to join this event. In addition, this innovation model can and should be applied outside of Silicon Valley to get the best results.
