Program/Special Project initiative

Business Background
For over 180 years, P&G has found small but meaningful ways to improve lives through our products. We have built brands that people trust and love, enabled by a culture of innovation rooted in deep capability and know-how with the entrepreneurial spirit and operational principles of a lean start-up. It is our firm goal to improve consumer lives by providing them with irresistible products that improves their lives

We believe external partnerships fuel P&G’s growth and help us create something more exciting than what we could have created on our own. Open Innovation is a core discipline and integral mindset in our philosophy of innovation, and our strategy for success, which had led in the past to accelerated and sustaining growth through innovations in brands such as Tide and Crest.

Business Challenge:
We are now living in a digital word where consumers hold a lot of power. They can enjoy unlimited choices for each of our unique preferences and demanding needs. Consumers have the control to decide which products they use; how do these products reach their households and how are these products made. The advent of on-line technologies has in part made this possible and has put in the consumer’s fingertips the ability to decide what they use instead of limiting their choices to what is available at the nearest retail.

This evolving new way to access products right at your home, can also be advantageous to businesses that are more agile, not tied to massive production and distribution systems, providing a customization that was hard to come by before. Further, this new type of commerce, allows for a better understanding of the consumer which could lead into an anticipation
of their desires and future needs.

• How can P&G’s technologies empower consumers while effortlessly and efficiently transform the transaction space from end to end (sourcing, manufacturing, distribution)?
• How can P&G build an agile, autonomous supply chain that is directly accessible to the customized consumer preferences?

We are looking specifically for new technology-enabled solutions, services and business models that incentivize and drive transformation in the transaction space.
